Will it fit? A cautious furniture route check

Enter the item's overall size and each tight spot on the way in: doors, hallway corners, stairs, the room or the van. Carry Clearance checks every step with tested geometry and a safety margin. It tells you probably fits, too tight to call or won't fit by the moves we check. It never says it definitely fits.

This is a geometry check, not a promise. Results are only as good as your measurements. They model the item as a rigid box and credit only a few well-understood moves. Before you buy or move, confirm with the seller, the delivery company or the movers. Never risk injury, damage or a stuck item on a "probably". What is and isn't checked.

1 · The item

Measure the overall box: the widest, deepest and tallest points, including legs, arms, handles, hinges and packaging. The safety margin (default 2 in / 5.1 cm, an assumption) is added to every dimension.

2 · The route, in order

Measure clear openings: a door's width with it open at 90°, from the stop strip to the face of the open door; its height under the head stop or threshold. Measure stairs between handrails. Measure the headroom vertically from the stair nosings.
